Amber Bishop

Barrister & Solicitor

Amber Bishop holds a JD and MBA from the University of Calgary and Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Mount Royal University.

Amber is a successful litigator in Family Law having appeared successfully at all levels of court in Alberta. She works hard to find her clients favorable outcomes in the most efficient manner while also ensuring that they are given a voice, and their concerns are addressed.

Amber is also an advocate for access to justice. Throughout her career Amber has volunteered with several organizations, including pro bono students Canada, Pro Bono Law Alberta, Legal Aid, and Calgary Legal Guidance, in an effort to assist those who are unable to hire a lawyer or who wish to self represent. In 2019 she won the award for volunteer of the year in 2019 with Pro Bono Students Canada. Amber believes that creating access to justice and educating people on the legal system is one of primary ways we can create a more equitable justice system.

Amber has also taught business law at the University of Calgary to both graduate and undergraduate students and currently teaches at Mount Royal University. When Amber is not working you can usually find her camping with her children in the summer or skiing in the winter.
