Getting Started with David
Hi, my name is David and I’m the Office Administrator here at Wells Family Law and I am your first point of contact when you call into our office. I know how intimidating it can often feel calling into a law firm and trying to find the right lawyer. My favourite part of what I do is helping people feel a little more at ease with the process and guiding them to the right match for their own specific needs. The best feedback I love to hear is when someone tells me it feels like they’re just talking to a friend. I am the in-between of you looking for a firm, and you starting with a lawyer, and that’s something I take very seriously and try to make as comfortable and safe an experience for potential clients as possible.
Really, all you need to do is give me a call at (587) 356–4342 and I will walk you through some simple intake questions, find out a little more about you and what you’re going through, and then schedule a free 30-minute telephone or video call with yourself and one of our lawyers to really make sure you’ve found the right fit.
I’ll also be there to help open your file, gather the necessary information and documents to get you started with our firm, and make sure you’re still feeling comfortable and confident in your decision as you begin the process with your lawyer and their assistant. You can also call in and speak to me anytime if you’re ever feeling overwhelmed about anything, because the clients are why I’m here, and taking care of you is what I do.
Here are a few fun facts that you might not know about me:
I am a single parent myself! My favourite part of my job is helping people in those first stages of starting over again feel safe for a moment, and hopefully helping them see that everything is going to be ok.
I’ve moved around a lot before settling here in Calgary and buying my townhouse in the Northwest. I’ve lived in Montreal, Vancouver, Toronto, and New York.
I am a music junkie, and always have music playing around me. I love all genres, some of my favourite singers are Tori Amos, Dolly Parton, The Midnight, and I could go on for way too long. I also sing and write, play the guitar, and am currently teaching myself keyboards.
My favourite things about Calgary are the mountains, all the trails throughout the city, and the wildlife. Being out in nature is my happy place. I like to call myself an aspiring herbalist still learning how to not kill plants.
I have never seen the Northern Lights in person and am determined to do that one day!
And that’s a few little tidbits about me!
